I am a curious person with a love for stories, whether they be woven out of words or images. I studied motion design and screenwriting and have over 5 years of experience working as a freelance graphic designer, illustrator, and layout artist. I am also an avid amateur writer.

This was my final project for my motion design undergraduate. Our prompt was to use creation myths for inspiration. I drew my idea largely from a passage out of a Sumerian creation myth that spoke about how Sky (Anu) and Earth (Ki) were separated from each other.
I painted the backgrounds and background elements of this in watercolour and composited them digitally. The characters were all animated frame-by-frame in OpenToonz. You can see some of the pre-production content, including some of the storyboards and a link to the full script, below the trailer.
While I only managed to animate a trailer, I started this project intending to animate an entire narrative. One of the first things I did was write out a full script for it, which you can find below:
